There is NO live talk or video chat feature on POF. Any person telling you need to sign up for a 3rd party app, site, or service is trying to scam you. If it costs nothing I dont see a problem. Officially Plenty of Fish is rolling out video chat on the POF app. In a previous article, I wrote about how to live stream on Plenty of Fish. If you are thinking does POF have a video call? then the answer is yes. Plenty of Fish is rolling out Live feature in the U.S. and will roll out the rest of the world soon. POF Live feature is like a video call. You can go live using the POF Live feature within your POF app. Here I am writing about how to activate video chat on the POF app.

How to activate video chat on POF app

1. Update your POF app using Google Play Store or Apple app store.
2. Then launch the POF app on your mobile phone.
3. Tap the “LIVE!” icon on the Plenty of Fish dashboard in the app
4. Once you’re on the LIVE! home page, tap “GO LIVE!” to start streaming.
5. Just be yourself and follow POF Content and Conduct Policy and you can start building a new online community!

Thus you can do POF video call set up. POF Live feature is available only on the POF app. It is like Instagram live video. Once you start live video your matches will see your live stream. While you’re streaming, you can tap the eye icon to see a list of everyone who is viewing your stream. You can say “Hi” to anyone on the list or add them to your Favorites. You’ll also be able to see how many hearts each person has sent while watching the stream. Getting hearts from other users means they really enjoy your stream!

POF video call is not an actual video call that you do with other video calling apps like Skype, Hangouts, etc. For now, POF introduces POF Live as a POF video call. If you are looking for a daily life video call then it will make you disappointed. But you can say something is better than nothing. You can do video chat using the POF LIVE feature in the POF app. You can chat with people who are viewing your live video stream.

POF also rolls out NextDate feature with POF Live. NextDate will imitate speed dating with a series of 90-second chats with others. It is a good tool to help people communicate before going to the actual date. The best part of POF LIVe is it is free to use for all POF users.

Update: Plenty of fish updated app. In the new POF app, scroll down the “explore tab” and you’ll find what Plenty of Fish members are currently live streaming on Plenty of Fish Live!

Plenty of fish allows their members to chat through video to your match. For video chat, first you need to activate the POF cam to make a video call. Firstly, you need to know how to activate the POF cam. To ensure that the webcam is working properly so the users you are interacting with can see your face. If you want to know how to activate the POF cam, you can find out on how to do in this article.

Please follow these steps in this article for the POF Cam Activation:

• Press the windows/start button on your computer and search for webcam or camera in the search bar(latest versions of windows don’t need press any button, there is a search icon beside your windows icon to the bottom left corner).
  Once the list is displayed, choose the camera you want to use for plenty of fish for video chat.
• If this method didn’t worked for you. You can go manually to the webcam setting. Firstly, go to the search bar and search for control panel and click on it.
• Select the hardware and sound, and open the device manager and double click on camera button during the call or check options in “video settings” of plenty of fish site. It also works with external/installed camera. If the webcam is detected, it means pof cam activation is successful and you can start video chat.
  
• Furthermore, make sure to always click on “allow” button on your browser whenever you try to make a video call on plenty of fish site. Most of the times it detects camera automatically, you just have to click allow on your browser. In that case, you can just skip all these steps.

(If these steps does not work for you, then you might have a hardware problem. Check if you have the processor that is not fully Pentium 4 compatible. The camera will not be detected, even if it might work somewhere else).
